Foxrock parishioners have generously supported a Loreto Mission in Peru.

Fr. Ciarán Holohan, Parish Priest of Foxrock is pictured here presenting a cheque to Sr. Anne Donnelly ibvm, Superior of Loreto's Peru Mission. In his presentation Fr. Ciarán emphasised the universal mission of the Church by noting "the Church is bigger than Foxrock parish".

Together with Sr. Anne, they thanked the parish group for publicising global, mission and justice issues.  Sr. Anne also thanked the parishioners for their thoughts and support while informing the parishioners the money will be put to excellent use in a shanty town mission outside Lima.

It will be used to support two teachers in their educational programme, to buy food and water for the children, and to provide them with medical help. With no water or drainage, the sisters have to buy their water from a lorry which calls twice a week.
